In July 2016, I took my bike and flew over to the UK to join the RatRace event ‘The Crossing’.
In this 3-day MTB race roughly 300 participants go from Whitehavens on Englands west coast through the astonishing countryside of three national parks to the east coast, to Scarborough to be more precise.

In total, the race goes over more than 300km, climbing up over 5000hm resulting in about 24 hours in the saddle. But keeping the hard facts aside, even more important, I’ve met a whole bunch of the friendliest, most welcoming and funny chaps, I’ve ever came across.

Filmed using a GoPro 4 and edited in FCPX by me.

All Music is by artists from this very region, mainly Manchester:
Man Made — Hi Tech Low Life
Spring King — The summer
The Virginmarys — Push the pedal
Screaming Citizens — Manic Fanatic
